Salford Trades Union Council’s was founded on King Street, Blackfriars, Salford in 1866. Originally Manchester and Salford Trades Union Council it went on to found the TUC in 1868 at the Mechanics Institute in Manchester.
For 150 years Salford Trades Council has been the voice of the Trade Union movement in our City and has been at the forefront of the struggle to improve the lives of working people in Salford. Working together Trade Union branches can co-ordinate their activity and learn from one another.
Join us every 2nd Thursday at the Unite officer on Salford Quays between 6:30 and 8:30pm. (No meetings in August and December)
